To empower survivors to heal, and engage all individuals and communities to address and prevent sexual assault and intimate partner violence. HAVEN has helped domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their families escape abuse and create safer lives for over 40 years. Our survivor-centered services honor survivors as experts of their own experiences.

HAVEN is a nationally recognized nonprofit leader that provides programs to promote violence-free homes and communities and helps victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

The Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) is one of southeast Michigan’s most established animal shelters, serving the community since 1953. Our history and experience combined with constant evaluation of trends in animal welfare and sheltering have made us a necessary and respected asset within our community.

The Mission of the Michigan Animal Rescue League is to provide the highest quality of life to dogs and cats through rescue, medical care, socialization and behavioral support, shortand long-term sanctuary, adoption, and community education and outreach.

Lighthouse MI was established in 2019 when Lighthouse of Oakland County and South Oakland Shelter combined forces and merged agencies. Lighthouse endeavors to build equitable communities that alleviate poverty in partnership with and in service to individuals, families, and organizations. Our vision for Lighthouse reflects pursuit of our core purpose and values – the alleviation of poverty in Southeast Michigan. Our clients see us as family, giving them the comfort and confidence that someone genuinely cares and is concerned overtheir well-being, someone they can trust and who offers them much more than a box of food or shelter for the night.
